Joanne Bradbury

Joanne’s passion and involvement in fitness and outdoor sports began in her early and school-age years, and at age 19 she started teaching fitness classes professionally. Since then she gained a wealth of experience in the fitness industry and has educated thousands - young and old, unconditioned to competitive athlete. She holds a USA Cycle Coaching license and multiple and gold certifications in group exercise instruction, indoor cycling, cardio kickboxing, Pilates-yoga and mind-body fitness.

Joanne is an award-winning cyclist, having competed in 10 and 25 mile road time trial events in the U.K. and NORBA mountain bike racing in the U.S. She competed in the British National Cross-Country Mountain Biking Series Competition, finishing 3rd and qualifying for the World Masters Championships. Her racing experience exposed her to the many challenges faced in competition and gave her a true appreciation of not just the physical strength, stamina, and endurance needed to compete, but the mental strength and tenacity required to excel.

Joanne also enjoys snowboarding and windsurfing but her passion for cycling has taken her to different parts of the world, including 10 countries in Europe, and mountain biking through Tanzania in Africa. On a group cycling trip of the French Alps during a Tour de France she has climbed Le Deux Alps, Mont Revard, Col de Madeleine and the notorious 21 switchbacks of Alp de Huez.

Training and preparing athletes for competition requires commitment and dedication on the part of the athlete and Joanne is dedicated to helping her clients accomplish their personal fitness goals with a focus on educating them as to how they can maximize their training program through healthy nutrition and a variety of exercise methods to achieve the best results. Joanne’s training philosophy is a strong belief in employing a mix of cardio conditioning, plyometrics, core conditioning and strength exercises with good nutrition into a cyclist’s program to improve speed, stamina & endurance, develop core strength & balance, and increase flexibility.

Joanne is always striving for excellence in coaching and maintains a high-level interest in continuing education, having attended over 250 national and international health & fitness workshops and seminars. It is this dedication to pursuing education and providing highly effective programs that led Joanne to create her own workshops and seminars such as “Core Strength for Cyclists” and “Sports Specific Strengthening & Conditioning for Cyclists” which she has presented in both the U.S. and the U.K.

Joanne is committed to helping others discover what they are capable of achieving through learning healthy behaviors and lifestyle changes to attain their fitness goals and ultimately perform at their best, whether it be in competition, or in their everyday lives.
